Starting with its 2025–26 season, the OPRL has chosen to launch a new concert series dedicated to ‘Modern Classical’ music, in order to embrace one of the major artistic movements of our time.

The new Music Director of the OPRL launches his tenure with an exceptional two-week inauguration spanning four concerts. At the heart of this musical fireworks display: French music, a passion shared by Bringuier and the Orchestra.

The annual assistant conductor competition led to the recruitment of Maria Fuller (35), a Canadian conductor, and Ross Jamie Collins (24), a young Finnish-British conductor.

Gergely Madaras was today presented with the prestigious ‘Conductor of the Year’ award at the Bartók Radio Music Awards. The ceremony took place at the Budapest Music Center, celebrating the most outstanding Hungarian classical music artists and projects of the past year across 11 categories.

Lionel Bringuier : A shared passion. The OPRL is proud to unveil its 2025–26 season and all the exciting new features it brings, starting, of course, with the arrival of Lionel Bringuier in Liège as the 10th Music Director of the Liège Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
