ODE TO THE FUTURE
"This anniversary concert is first and foremost an encounter between young people from different backgrounds, a philharmonic orchestra and a musical heritage that has stood the test of time”. Fabrice Murgia
Founded in Brussels 85 years ago, at the dawn of a conflict that was to shake the whole of humanity, the Jeunesses Musicales (Musical Youth) have spread throughout the world, sowing a universal seed: that of music as a peaceful weapon to fight against injustice and oppression, of music as a tool for achieving freedom, emancipation and creativity. The proof is in this jubilant, festive project, which brings forward the hopes and fears of 150 singing teenagers, warmly supported by the musicians of the OPRL.
