Beethoven, Eroica

There is a before and an after Beethoven’s Eroica. With this visionary symphony, Ludwig van Beethoven profoundly reshapes the course of music history, creating a work of unprecedented dramatic force, driven by a bold sense of heroism that paves the way for the Romantic movement. Under the direction of Elena Schwarz, the musicians of the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège will reveal its full power, tension, and poetry. At the end of the concert, the audience will have the opportunity to meet the Swiss-Australian conductor, originally trained as a cellist, former assistant to Gustavo Dudamel in Los Angeles, Associate Conductor of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and Conductor-in-Residence at the Klangforum Wien from 2024 to 2026.
