Brahms 3

Finished in 1883, Brahms's Third Symphony navigates an extraordinary range of emotions. Although it has been described as "heroic", its sound world is no less introspective. Its superb third movement, whose wistful sadness inspired Frank Sinatra, Serge Gainsbourg and Carlos Santana, is its best known moment. After a recent commission as part of the Ars Musica Festival, the OPRL reunites with Belgian composer Benoît Mernier for the creation of his Two Symphonic Movements.
