Pictures at an exhibition

Pending his commencement as 10^th Music Director of the OPRL in September 2025, Lionel Bringuier is in Liège for a programme designed as a preview of his future seasons. We find here his love for the elegance of the French school, of which Ravel is the absolute master, his attraction to the  visceral power of the works of the 20^th century, including Prokofiev, whose merciless mechanics the Ukrainian pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk will show off, and his penchant for great narrative frescoes, like the descriptive Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky, extraordinarily orchestrated by Ravel.
