Anna Vinnitskaya
“Virtuosity is just as evident as it is essential. And, above all, here it has the elegance of making itself forgotten, hidden behind poetry and passion.” RTBF
Since winning the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2007, Anna Vinnitskaya has been performing around the world, while regularly returning to Liège. Her recital opens with Claude Debussy’s Two Arabesques, brilliant and already highly personal works by the composer, and gives pride of place to Romanticism, with Frédéric Chopin’s Third Sonata, radiant with life and energy, the twilight-like Intermezzi Op. 117 by Johannes Brahms, a deeply moving musical testament, and the Variations on a Theme of Corelli by Sergei Rachmaninoff, the most accomplished of his major works.
