The series features three performances with Gergely Madaras, including dazzling works by Richard Strauss, who depicts folklore heroes such as Till and Don Juan; Tchaikovsky, whose enchanting Nutcracker epitomises the magic of Christmas; Brahms, whose Third Symphony is characterised by nobility and heroism; and Mussorgsky, whose Pictures at an Exhibition will be brought to life by Lionel Bringuier. Finally, the series welcomes the prestigious Chamber Orchestra of Europe performing two of Beethoven's finest concertos.
